Why Semi-private training

Here at the Strength Lab we love semi-private training!  It's one of the best and most efficient ways to train as long as you have a good group that can help motivate and push you to a higher fitness level.  A good group operates much like a well-oiled squad in the military or a member of a team in various sports.

Your overall level of competitiveness increases.  Your group accountability gets more solid.  You have a high level of encouragement from your group members and it provides a limited excuse driven environment, which is productive for higher levels of training.  Not to mention...IT'S FUN!

Human beings thrive on community and building relationships with others, especially others who are interested in the same goals and focused on getting better.

Overall all these things add up to a huge bonus for your training dollar!  Not to mention it's typically cheaper than one-on-one training per hour.

At SMASH's Strength Lab here in Ottawa, we focus on providing the best possible personal training environment, by establishing strong groups of similar goal oriented ladies and gentlemen (once they are vetted and ability levels are within standard for the group in question).  We cap these small personal training groups by a maximum of 4 persons per group to increase the individual component of the session and provide feedback and instruction that would be expected of a good coaching session.  That way the client is ensured of having a safe and productive workout, while being pushed to the appropriate level for them and limiting injury potential.
